Silence (Hush, Hush Saga) - Becca Fitzpatrick

The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever. - Synopsis from the book

Alright, first off, this has been my most anticipated book of the year!  The days were just not coming fast enough.  And let me tell you, the wait was so worth it.  The love story of Patch and Nora has been so addicting, I just can't get enough! And you know me, such a sucker for forbidden love.
I fell in love with Patch all over again! I devoured every page in Silence.  I knew it was going to be an amazing read right from the opening.  I went through so many different emotions, in the span of couple of chapters.  Anger . . . Pain . . . Sadness . . . Relief . . . It was easy getting back into this storyline.    Already, Fitzpatrick has weaved her web of mystery, and has literally hooked me from the get go.
She does an amazing job describing the events that transpire.  You can't help but feel what Nora is going through - confused, alone, lost, her frustration, heartbreak (sigh), as well as feel the emotions Nora's mother goes through - relief, concern, happiness.  Fitzpatrick includes so much detail in each chapter that you can basically see the movie in your mind.  She made the scenes, story and all the characters become more real and provided mor depth for the reader.  And who didn't love the actually visual of the texting going on throughout the book.  I loved it!  Nice touch in making it more believeable for the reader.
In Silence we are introduced to new characters, as well as a visit from characters we have already grown to know and love (or hate?!).  There were a few points in the book that had my heart pumping (love it!).  One that really sticks out in my mind is the scene when we are first introduced to Gabe.  It was so exciting.  Fitzpatrick did such a great job writing that part (and other exciting scenes), that I was simply caugh up in the moment.  I was urging Nora to run faster!  To find a better hiding spot (seriously!), to be quiet (come on!) and to just get "the heck outta Dodge!"
I can also pinpoint WHEN I fell in love with Patch again . . . dancing at the club.  The whispers, and the twirling, and the sexy half smiles, and the hands (squeeeeee!)  There was one line in the book, where I had to put the book down, and just smile and sigh.  I won't say what it is, but when you come across it, you'll do it too!  And honestly, I found myself giggling like a school girl at certain parts.  And yes, they revolved around Patch's unforgettable one liners.  You know the ones!
Fitzpatrick has done it again!  Whether you are just beginning this sage from the beginning, or are in anticipation for book #4, (yes, you heard me!  Announced by Simon & Schuster on September 29/11 - here) you will be so engrossed in this story, and wish for your own Fallen Angel.

With the MAJOR cliffhanger that Becca Fitzpatrick's Crescendo (Sequal to Hush, Hush) came to an end, I spent days and days, that managed to turn into weeks, that went into months wondering one thing: What happens next? In my mind I didn't expect what I read in the synopsis, I mean you know a novels good when you look at the synopsis and you think Excuse me? Am I reading this right? Is that what happens because I didn't see that coming. I got Silence the day it came out, I just couldn't wait to see what happened especially since I have the largest crush on Patch more than any other girl on the planet. Anywho, Silence starts out with an epilogue that pulled me in from the first sentence, it was creepy and dark and just so-so-so Hush, Hush like!
As I kept on reading and finished the epilogue, I was already freaking out and racing to see what happens next I mean especially after Nora forgets everything including her (and my) boyfriend Patch. I was following Nora through the story wondering when and what she would remember, piece by piece we follow Nora through her transition back to what was once her life. Of course ever since the secrets that have been unlocked in Crescendo, I can speak freely when I say that everybody was creeped out by Hank who is now dating Nora's mother. He even has a secret and knows exactly why Nora can't remember a single thing about the past few months of her life. As I was reading I found myself wondering the same thing everybody else was WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE PATCH?! Instead of seeing the lovely, bad boy, fallen angel, Patch we meet the strange, mysterious and sexy Jev who has more secrets that take place in Nora's past than anybody else. When I learned who Jev really was I found myself on a whole new level of OMGoodness!  I have to say that I loved Silence more than the other two novels that came before it, this one had so much more action, secrets, magic and so many exciting twists that I managed to finish it three days later. The only issue I had with this novel is that it there weren't more pages!!  If you've read the first two novels then I know that after reading this you sure want to read the third novel in the Hush, Hush novel. And personally after the high note that Silence ends on, I just can't wait for the fourth novel to see if Nora and Patch can really be together or if there will be Hell to pay.
